Cart
Posy has two carts that stay in sync: the cart page and the sliding cart drawer that opens from the header's bag icon. Configure the page under the Cart section of the cart template; the drawer follows automatically.
Cart page settings
- Eyebrow text and Heading — the page title area.
- Show order note field — lets shoppers leave a note that arrives with the order.
- Show additional checkout buttons — displays Shop Pay, PayPal, Apple Pay, or other express payment buttons below "Buy it now", based on what's enabled in Settings → Payments.
- Delivery note — a short line under the subtotal (e.g. a dispatch-time promise). Leave it empty to hide it.
What shoppers can do
- Edit quantities — stepper controls on every line, with remove links; totals update instantly.
- See discounts clearly — line-level discounts appear on the affected items, cart-level discounts in the totals, each with the discount's name.
- Apply a promo code — a promo-code field applies the code before checkout (via Shopify's discount link), so the discounted total is visible in the cart rather than surprising shoppers at checkout.
- Know about taxes — the standard tax and shipping note shows above checkout, reflecting your store's tax settings.
Free shipping progress bar
Set Free shipping threshold in Theme settings → Cart and both the cart page and drawer show a progress bar: "you're $X away from free shipping", then a celebration when the threshold is reached. It updates live as quantities change.
Match your real shipping settings
The bar is a display — it does not create a shipping rate. Set it only if your store actually offers free shipping above that amount (configured in Settings → Shipping and delivery), enter the amount in your store currency, and keep the two in sync if your rates change. Leave the setting empty to hide the bar entirely (the default).
Cart drawer
The drawer mirrors the essentials — line items with quantity controls, subtotal, the free-shipping bar, and a checkout button — and links to the full cart page for notes and promo codes. It opens whenever a shopper adds to cart or selects the bag icon, so there is nothing separate to configure.
